Big and Exciting Projects

Hey everyone! I know it's been awhile. I am terribly sorry about that. Me and my obsessive nature has been working hard on a few projects recently. First and foremost, these past couple weeks have been filled with several interviews for a marketing position. It was nerve wrecking and I felt completely under prepared, but don't we all? I even went out and finally bought a business suit for myself from Limited. I lurve it. My super hot alligator heels look awesome with it too!

Anyways, I was offered a job/internship at a marketing company called TreeFrog Marketing and Communications. The company is so incredible! I fell in love with the employees, the atmosphere, and the work ethics. I will be in charge of all social media campaigns for TreeFrog and all of our clients. How amazing is that. I am very pumped for that.

Secondly, I have been working extremely hard on building a new and improved website for Pearl Photo & Design. I finally finished this weekend and I wanted to give you a little sneak peak of it! You can check it out at:

So now I don't know what to do with myself! No interviews or new websites to build. I guess I can start working on my homework....Wish me luck!

Summer adventures...in Lafayette at least

Adventure 1:
I am going to Jamaica.
Not sure if you knew already. It was on the DL for a while.
But we are! Very pumped.
We've got the passports packed and ready to go.
Anyways, Carli and I hit up the Barnes & Noble to look for compelling books.
I have a difficult time choosing a good one out the millions there.
They all look so good!
And I'm not a big fan of the dirty, vulgar books either.
So that narrows my choices a bit, but books don't have ratings,
so I NEVER know what is good or not.
Anyways,
Carli and I always have a fun time there. We camped out in the self-help section for a while.
They made us feel good about ourselves.

These are pretty flowers from Curt. He is just so cute.

Adventure 2:
My friend and I wanted to go on an adventure that involved
us, our cameras, and baby Gavin.
That adventure took us to awesome antique stores that are hidden in our dear downtown Lafayette.
I bought Curt a sweet watch and we snapped some sweet pictures.

Gavin was being the best baby in the world.
He convinced me that I want one too....
one day.

Here he is looking all cute. We had to bribe him with cookies,
but still. Cute is cute no matter how we get it!

Until the cookies run out....

Carli=17 + Hawaii Partay

Sooo Carli is the big ONE SEVEN. Holy Crap! I seriously can't believe it. But we thought the best way to celebrate would be to bring the palm trees, coconut bras, and leis to Lafayette! Carli was definitely shaking it all night and looking real good doing it. Here are some pictures of our party. It was awesome.

Bargain hunting with Lisa

So today was a perfect day to stroll around the neighborhood. One, Lisa is in town and two the neighborhood was filled with garage sales. We didn't find anything in particular, but its always fun browsing and finding ridiculous stuff! My favorite part of the day was when we hit up this new vintage shop in town called the hot house. I absolutely love it and Lisa found some awesome suitcases and hay boxes. I seriously wanted to buy them all. Here's a few snap shots.

Did you know??

  • I've been SUPER busy with my photography business. It has blown up recently and I am loving it. This past week, I had four sessions and all were so fun. It is so interesting to see how every couple and every family is so unique. It's fun to find ways to let their personalities shine in their photos. It's also been a lot of fun doing receptions with my baby (Curt-Dawg. He has been so awesome and willing to help out. And it's always good to have him with me. Here's some photos from my latest session <3:

  • Curt is finishing up his first Summer-mester this week. Crazy! I kinda wish that I could do summer courses all year long. It sounds a lot more efficient, compounded, and focused. He then starts another summer-mester up in a week. Non stop for him.
  • This past weekend, Curt and I made the decision to FINALLY clean out our cars. It was quite an achievement right there. I had not cleaned out my car for two years, since we purchased it. I found about 35 bobby pins in there, which I was very excited about.
  • Not sure if you heard, but Curt had a pretty bad ankle sprain two weeks ago. It was ugly, swollen and purple. Here's a quick picture:

Well, he is doing a lot better! He played volleyball last week and soccer today. It was our first big scar in a while, probably since before the wedding! We are very grateful that it was nothing major, but he has since decided to wear a brace, just in case.

I can't really think of anything else. Sorry for not posting as much, but we always do that same things. I feel like I have nothing new to post about! Our schedule stays pretty consistent: school, work, volleyball, soccer, more volleyball, basketball, and business. I'll keep you posted on more changes though!

Love him so much.

Curt & I took Logie Pogie out for a photo session the other day,
and had a BLAST.
When you get Logan and Curt together,
they are just cracking up the whole time.
I love it.
Here's some fun shots we took:

Busy & loving it

School is almost done. We are sooo close, I can almost taste it. But it seems like the closer we get, the more we have to do! Right now we have a community volleyball team (so awesome), tons of school projects, work, family, and more photo shoots! But I am having a blast. It's been so great.
Here are some of the CD cases I just made for a few of my sessions. :)

Sleepy Time

Curt and I are in ANOTHER class this semester.
How awesome is that??
For this class,
we were given an assignment to create an ad campaign for
SLEEP.
Our goal is to persuade people,
mostly our class,
to sleep longer.
It's been a pretty fun project actually.
We had to make a poster,
brochure,
and
commercial/ multimedia thinger ma bob.
I was in charge of the poster and brochure.
Check it.
this is our logo

POSTER

BROCHURE

INSIDE BROCHURE

I had a blast doing it.
If I could do this for EVERY project,
I would be very happy.

For our commercials,
my group members got together and created a master piece.
We needed some pictures of sleeping people,
so I used CURT as a model.
He was great,
and was actually sleeping.
During one of his naps,
I snuck up and snatched some pictures.
He was so adorable.
I just wanted to cuddle up next to him.
Check out our videos,
Curt makes some wonderful appearances.
OH yea, so does Curt's sister, Jess, and our bro-in-law, Andrew!

This is the app that my groups members made.
How incredible is that!
I definitely give them props for putting this together.

So now,
it is time to sleep!
