So updates for y'all is in order.
Firstly, we are super super super busy. Days are runnin together.
Not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing. There is no time to think about it.
Curt has been busy with work, and school, and boy scouts, and home teaching, and cooking, and cleaning. Recently he's been asked to help with some training vids at Perfcu. I'm married to a famous person.
I have been working non-stop, pretty much every day now. The YMCA and School Date Books (sdb we will call it) is keeping me busy. But we must remember that school is going on right now also. And for some reason all of my teachers thought it would be a great idea to have group projects. yaaay. pause. not. so time consuming. On top of that, I have been helping with young womens on the reg (we just had a clothes swap on Wednesday---super fun) and trying to get a garden goin on our little porch. Oh yes, last week I had a talk at church. Kind of a disaster, but Curt swears it wasn't. This is what happened:
First off, when I get a tinsy bit nervous I have to pee very bad. That's all I could think of. Would it be bad for the speakers to take a quick potty break? Not sure. After the first speaker, it was my turn. Bishop told me I have about 15-20 mins to speak. Got it. Except, for some reason my throat was really really dry. I could feel particles of dust coating my throat the longer I spoke. I was coughing between every sentence. I tried to keep it cool though--didn't help. One of the counselors actually got me a glass of water towards the end of my talk. Then bishop gets up and tells me I'm running over. I still had two more pages left! Not good. So I had to hurry up and finish my talk. All in all, I am glad its over.
Anyways, that was last week. This is this week. Wanna hear what we did last night?
Of course you do...after going to the beloved goodwill and express for men, Curt and I were exhausted. But an idea came to mind. How bout we go camping. Right here, in our living room. So we did. We set up our tent in our living room, brought out the sleeping bags, pillows, chips, and soda. If was actually the first time I've used it since we got it for our wedding. (Curt uses it a lot more with the boy scouts). It was great. We kicked back and watched Fast & Furious and then fell asleep under a plaster sky. Picture perfect. We decided next time we are going to roast mallows on his grill...because there WILL be a next time.
next time, open the outside door for a truly wonderful expereince!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! Oh, and don't worry about the talk thing. I gave a talk once, and didn't look at the time. They had to cancel the two speakers after me. I'm sure your talk was at least good! :)
